Yes! While most of our work is based in Vancouver proper, North Vancouver and West Vancouver; we also take on select projects in the US.

Every project begins with a conversation to understand your vision, needs, and lifestyle. Do you work with existing furniture and décor?
Yes, when requested, we can thoughtfully incorporate meaningful pieces into the design. Our goal is to create a cohesive space that reflects your style while seamlessly integrating both new and existing elements where required.
How long does a typical project take?
Timelines vary based on project scope. A smaller scale renovation design may take months, while full-home renovations or new builds can span a year or more. Furniture and décor curation projects typically take four to six weeks for the design phase. We prioritize thoughtful planning to ensure every detail is executed beautifully.

What is your design fee structure?
Our design fees are structured as either a flat fee or an hourly rate, depending on the project scope, level of service required, and what works best for both Studio Grey and the client. After the initial consultation, we provide a detailed proposal outlining the scope of work, deliverables, and design fees to ensure clarity and transparency before we begin.
Do I receive designer trade discounts?
Yes. As a client of Studio Grey, you have access to exclusive trade pricing from many vendors. We pass these discounts along whenever applicable and ensure your budget is allocated effectively. The availability and percentage of trade discounts depend on the specific design contract and vendor.
Do you work with trade professionals, or can I use my own contractor?
We have a trusted network of contractors, millworkers, and tradespeople that we can recommend if desired. However, we are also happy to collaborate with your preferred professionals, provided they align with the project's vision and quality standards.

What if I don’t know exactly what I want?
That’s perfectly fine! Most clients come to us with very little idea of what they want, looking to us for guidance. Some clients come to us with an idea of what they want but aren’t sure how to put it all together. Our process includes guiding you through design discovery, offering options and ideas that fit your space, and helping you make decisions that best suit your needs. We’re here to inspire and help you clarify your vision.
How do you handle changes to the design?
We understand that preferences can evolve during the process. If you’d like to make changes to the design, we’re happy to accommodate adjustments. We ensure all changes align with the overall vision and project scope, and we’ll update the timeline and budget accordingly to keep things on track.
Will you handle the contractors and vendors?
Yes, we coordinate with trusted contractors, trades people and vendors to ensure the design vision is executed flawlessly. We can manage all logistics, from sourcing materials to overseeing installations, or we’re happy to collaborate with your existing team if you have one.
How will I be kept updated throughout the project?
